Commission from The Kitchen Mixer
I was recently commissioned by Gemma Sisson from the Kitchen Mixer to paint a cake stand design that could be used on a range of tea towels, aprons & cards. I am really pleased with the design & Gemma has made a short video which I have attached for you to see www.thekitchenmixer.co.uk

New designs – Dorchester
Bank Holiday Weekend
I had a lovely time in Devon doing a couple of watercolour paintings. While the sun was shining I took the opportunity to sit on the beach in Budleigh Salterton & then Sidmouth where I practised drawing from life! I had to finish them off at home because my parking ran out. I am really pleased with them and inspired to do some more images in this style. These designs will be for sale on cards at Otterton Mill – http://ottertonmill.com/
Wriggles Brook Gypsy B&B
www.wrigglesbrook.co.uk B&B With a Difference – This is luxury camping for all seasons in magical accommodation. The Traditional Wagons are nestled into a small valley, in about an acre of gardens, adjacent to Wriggles Brook. With farm land on one side and wild hillside on the other. After staying for 2 nights in this gorgeous caravan I wanted to share the details with you! Sitting outside in the morning and being served pancakes and a full English breakfast was the highlight of my stay there. Making a camp fire in the evenings and looking at the starry sky was heavenly, as well as a bird feeder tied up in a bush outside the window allowing you to see blue tits grabbing nuts and flying off at a close distance. Fairy lights, lanterns, a swing, a hammock and a babbling brook made the stay a unique and very pleasurable experience.
Recently I have been working on a range of card designs inspired by the buildings & shops in Bath City Centre. I particularly loved the shop I discovered that was selling fresh fruit & flowers on a table outside & have created a colourful setting for the scene with a beautiful umbrella as the main feature. The cards are now available to buy from Bath Tourist Information Centre.
Oil painting (92cm x72 cm) After a recent trip to Bath where I went to admire the buildings, shops & the beautiful Abbey, I was inspired to create an oil painting from a photograph I took whilst I was there. I used a palette knife to create a lot of texture and am pleased with the effect. To purchase this artwork please get in touch via the contact form!
Watercolour paintings for cards & coasters
There is nothing I love more than to sit down in the evening with a cup of tea and my sketch pad. After a day of writing up invoices & posting off stock to shops I can finally sit down & concentrate on creating some new designs for my product range. I haven’t used watercolours for a while but am really pleased with the way these turned out. They will soon be for sale in my online shop.
Upcoming events – 2015
After watching the Big Painting Challenge on the TV I have been so inspired to get out my paints. I did this watercolour design of a tractor from a walk I went on in Dorset and I am really pleased with the result. I will be selling this design on cards and giftware at the Devon County Show in May. I have also designed a range of prints, cards, postcards, magnets, notebooks and coasters of the beautiful Powderham Castle in Devon. The shop is full of great gifts and is well worth a visit perhaps over the Easter break. x
