Commission an original painting
I create a small number of commissioned paintings each year, designed specifically for the space where they will hang. Many clients come to me with a photograph they love, a colour palette from their room, or a previous painting of mine that they would like reinterpreted in a different size or with slightly different flowers or colours. Each painting is created individually, so sizes can be adjusted to suit the space.
How the process works
Most commissions begin with a conversation about the space where the painting will hang. Clients often share:
A photograph or subject that they love
Colours already present in the room
A painting of mine they would like interpreted in a different size
Ideas for flowers, colours or atmosphere
From there we decide on a size and composition that will work beautifully in the space before I begin painting.
Sizes and guide prices
Commissioned paintings are created to suit the space where they will hang, so sizes can be flexible. The following gives a general guide.
Medium paintings -
Around 50cm x 70cm - From £750
Large painting -
Approximately 60cm x 80cm - 70cm x 90cm - From £850 - £1000
Statement pieces
121.92cm x 91.44cm - approximately £1100 - £1250 framed.
Final price depends on size, detail and framing.
Many clients choose a size around 50cm - 70cm, which works beautifully in most rooms whilst still having a real presence.
